Peer Community Program

Goal: Facilitate knowledge exchange among communities with similar demographics, environmental contexts, and infrastructure challenges

Peer Cities (Communities) program is modeled after a City-to-City learning approach:

City-to-City learning is a form of social learning that aims to form a community of practice–that is, communities that share a common concern and pursue knowledge through regular interaction that is rooted in practice.

The GPSCOE aims to facilitate and support peer to peer learning for stormwater management. We will begin with a pilot-scale peer-community program with municipalities and tribes with whom we are already working.

Peer city programming will include peer learning topics to build capacity.

Peer city matching will focus on engagement of academic and private partners to support stormwater knowledge outreach and access.
